Who's your best friend?

Best friend? How will you define it? as the word "best" implies, it means the greatest. Among our group of friend there will be one whom we considered as the best, whom we can get so close to, whom we considered as best friend. In my view there are two type of best friend - a good best friend and a bad one. In general a best friend is someone whom we run to if we have problems, whom we can share our happy and sad moments, whom we tell our secrets - our crushes, our first love etc and a someone who will never leave us. A good best friend is someone who will bring out the best in us, they are someone who truly love us and cares for us, that when we did something wrong, they will rebuke us in a nice way unlike a bad best friend. A bad best friend will do the opposite -if we done something wrong, they will agree with it and tell you that it's right. it's like they're spoiling you.

Perhaps almost all of us in this world have one whom we can considered as best friend. I remembered when I was in grade school, I had this friend whom I thought was my best friend. In school we always stay together, we walk together in the school campus. Then one day I got sick, after I get well, the closeness is not there anymore, she go with our other school mates. I don't know what had happened why she suddenly changed. At that time I was really so hurt. But before we graduated she explained to me why, she told me that she just wanted to have other friends. well I understand her, she just wanted to explore and find new friends but what I don't understand is , why does she need to stay away from me? I'm not the kind of person who is possessive, she can still make friend with others at the same time being friend with me right? Well I guess that she's not really meant to be the best. After that I was afraid to get to much close with a friend. I try to keep my distance, because I'm afraid that it will also end up the same with my first best friend.

After that incident I found one friend who is really the best. He is the Best friend ever, guess who is it?........ It's none other that JESUS CHRIST. He's the best best best friend I ever had. Whatever happened I have an assurance that He won't leave me. Wherever I go He's there. He's the perfect friend. When I'm down He encourage me through His words the Bible, also through other instrument that He sends like the pastor in our church, my college friend etc. When I'm scared He gives me courage. I remembered when I was taking up a major exam, during that time I was really so scared that I would flunk it but that very same moment I received a text message from one my college friend, it's a quote saying that there's nothing to worry because the Lord God Jesus will be with you. See at the very moment I need Him He's there and He's reminding me through a text not to worry. Every time that I need Him He's always there, I can talk to Him at anytime even in the middle of the night. I won't replace Him for others, because you can never find a best friend who is as perfect, caring and as loving as JESUS CHRIST is. Good news is He can also be your best friend. So how about you who's your best friend? Me it's JESUS CHRIST.
