It's a matter of focus

Contentment & discontentment, joy & sadness, these things are just a matter on where our focus lies. If we focus on the bad things that were happening around us, discontentment, sadness will come knocking at our door. But if we focus on the other way around a feeling of joy and contentment will enter. People who had a lot of complain in their life are those people who only focus on what they lack in their life, they only focus on the awful things, the bad things that were happening around them. Those people don't realize that there are a lot of things, good things I may say which were happening and that they failed to noticed because they give so much attention to their misfortunes. Focusing on the bad things are not only bad it also makes God unhappy. Why? because instead of being appreciative to what God are showering upon us, we tend to complain about our misfortunes. God is so gracious to us that He rain down so much blessing upon us, and sometimes or should I say most of the times we failed to noticed it because we focus so much on our life worries, worrying about thing are not good and it is eating us up. the bible says:
"Do not worry about tomorrow for tomorrow will worry about itself each day has enough trouble of it's own."

"Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life"

A text quotes I received from my friend says:

"Many times, the things we complain about are the blessings. We grumble about having too much work while others don't even have. We complain waking up early in the morning while others don't even have a reason to live. We grouse about gaining weight while others don't even have food on their plates. Everyday, God fills our lives with so much goodness. All we need to do is open our eyes and give thanks for each of them."

In this picture how would you describe the half glass water? Is it half full or half empty? Your answer will reflect how you view life, your answers will show were your focus lies. Is it on the blessings or with with the problems and worries of life?

So, Focus on the things you have rather than on the the things you don't have, focusing on the latter gives an invitation for discontentment to crawl at our door. Focus on the good things not on the bad things, Focus on God's blessings.

If only.......

If only We're rich...
If only We have our own business that is doing good...
then I won't think twice about leaving...
but that is the "if only" of my life
because in reality we're not rich
and We don't own a business...
I really want to leave
but I don't know what will happen if I do,
If I would think of myself only
and not give any consideration to others especially to Papa
then I would really leave.
but there are a lot of factors that I need to considered
in deciding whether I would leave or not.

Give love not only on Christmas day but everyday of our life

♫♪♫People making list Buying special gifts It's a time to be kind to one and all It's that time of year When good friends are dear and you wish you could give more than just presents from a store Why don't you give love on Christmas day (on Christmas day) Oh, even the man who has every thing who would be so happy if you would bring him love on Christmas day (on Christmas day) No greater gift is there in love.♫♪♫
Familiar with this song? Nice song isn't it? but do we give love only on Christmas day? There are people who needs love not only on Christmas day.

There are a lot of street children all over the world who needs love.

Orphan who needs care and love and waiting for someone who would adopt them and show them how it's like to have a family and be loved.

When asked what the greatest commandment, Jesus replied "'Love the Lord with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind'. This is the first and greatest commandments. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself' All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments." So who is our neighbor? In answer with that, Jesus tells the parable of a Good Samaritan

“A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, when he was attacked by robbers. They stripped him of his clothes, beat him and went away, leaving him half dead. A priest happened to be going down the same road, and when he saw the man, he passed by on the other side. So too, a Levite, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side. But a Samaritan, as he traveled, came where the man was; and when he saw him, he took pity on him. He went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he put the man on his own donkey, brought him to an inn and took care of him. The next day he took out two denarii and gave them to the innkeeper. ‘Look after him,’ he said, ‘and when I return, I will reimburse you for any extra expense you may have.’ “Which of these three do you think was a neighbor to the man who fell into the hands of robbers?” The expert in the law replied, “The one who had mercy on him.” Jesus told him, “Go and do likewise.”

Your neighbor which Jesus are saying are those people like the street children, the orphan, your enemy, those people who might had hurt you. Jesus didn't tell us to give love only on his birthday(Christmas day) but everyday we live.

Jesus show His love for us by dying on the cross.

"Greater love has no one than this, that He lay down his life for his friends." That's what true love is all about. It's not given only on Christmas day but everyday of our life, just the way God love us.

Upset, sad by someone who moves.

Do you feel sad when someone move? When they move to other places - they move to new home, to new school, to new workplace, to other country? For me, yes I feel a little upset. So why do people move? People who got hurt by those someone close to him/her move to heal the pain or to forget. People who are seeking for greener pastures move to other country to look for success. There are different reasons why people moved. Moving in itself is not bad, Moving can open doors for healing, opportunity and growth. So why feel upset? Well, I don't know the answer for that. In my first job, I feel so sad when my manager resigned. I even prayed that she'll change her mind about the resignation but she didn't and eventually I resigned too. Asked why I resigned? There a lot of reason why I did but one of the reason was because of the resignation of my manager. Then it my recent workplace one of my officemate had resigned even though I'm not close with him I still felt upset. When my relatives move to other country it makes me sad because things won't be the same unlike before when we were many, especially now that Christmas is near. Years ago when we're still complete (in the same country) we celebrate Christmas at my grandmother's home. We were happy, there a lot of noise, picture picture, chitchatting, giving of gifts and a lot more. Now that some of them are in the other country Christmas won't be the same again. Perhaps I feel upset because I don't want the feeling of being left out.

Unto us a child is born, He is the reason for the season

18 days to go before Christmas... I can really feel the spirit of Christmas. Christmas song are being played. A lot of people are buying gifts for their special someone. Divisoria, a popular place where people go to buy low priced gift is so crowded especially during weekend. There are also street children who sing Christmas carols.... Christmas is really near. Christmas as one of the song says the most wonderful time of the year. Christmas is my favorite season of the year because during Christmas I can feel that the atmosphere is so light, people are happy and they always wear a smile. But do you know how important Christmas is? Do you know the real reason why we are celebrating Christmas? We're not celebrating Christmas because of gifts nor it is about Santa Claus.

More than 2000 years ago a baby was born in a manger in Bethlehem. That baby is Jesus. Because of Jesus' birth, a hope is born to all mankind. Jesus' birth was prophesied by the prophets in the old testament book. Jesus is the Messiah that the prophets were prophesying.

Jesus' birth brings salvation to those people who accept Him and acknowledge Him as their one and personal savior. Jesus is the reason for this season. Jesus is the reason why We are celebrating Christmas. Merry Christmas to all.
