There is a difference between "KNOWING" and "DOING". Knowing what is right from what is wrong is just merely a head knowledge. Knowing what is right from what is wrong doesn't change anything. But doing the right thing even though people around you is not into it would make a big difference. Knowledge won't bring you anywhere but actions would do.
"Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. Anyone who listen to the word but does not do what it says is like a man who looks at his face in a mirror and after looking at himself forget what he looks like. But the man who looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continue to DO this, not forgetting what he has heard, but DOING it - he will be blessed by what He does- James 1:22-25
