My first ever poem

My first ever and last poem I composed.

That picture was my first ever and the last poem I had ever composed in my 24 years and 11 months of existence. I made this poem back when I was in third year high school. Neither was I in love nor inspired when I wrote this. I'm no poet nor a writer. It was an obligation on my part as a student that had made me wrote this poem. In our English subject we had an assignment to composed a sonnet. The end product with creative design must be printed and laminated. Since during those times we still don't have computer, and I, being a responsible student who always afraid of getting failing mark decided to make mine in handwriting. I cut stationery to served as my designs. The end result was that picture you see above. Here's the poem I wrote, and by the way I think that this poem entitled "LOVE" has no thought at all, well except for some few lines.

LOVE
Love is the light of our life
It gives us inspiration
Never reaches expiration
Sometimes it's like a sharp knife,

That's planted inside our heart
Sometimes it even gives pain
But love would always remain
Love would never be that hard.

Cause Love would always be soft
like a pillow we use to hug
When we feel alone and sad

Love is like an immense loft
like an ice cream on a mug
Love could never be that bad.

The first line "Love is the light of our life" does not comes from my mind. I just read that line in some book. I felt that it was good to start my sonnet with that line so I borrowed the line from the author.
